For many years our club awarded a cup to the lady and gentleman who had walked the most miles with the club in that year. We no longer award the cups but we do keep an annual record which appears below together with some interesting statistics.
ANNUAL MILEAGES FOR 2025: from November 2024 to October 2025
Included in the table below: All members having walked 25 (or more) miles; 1st figure is number of miles walked and 2nd figure is number of times out. Where mileages are equal the most times out takes precedence.
Mileages are calculated from sheets by leaders on the day of their ramble. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the routes taken, and thus mileages, may vary from those in the programme.
Consecutive wins: Up to 2015, Betty Budd held the cup for a record 20 years. Highest ever mileage: In 1987, Ron Harper walked 704 miles

Congratulations go to Vivien Knowles and Mark Beale for walking the most miles in 2025. Congratulations should also go to Jane Rosoux for greatly increasing her mileage from last year (342/35). The weekday walks were quite a bit shorter than those of last year (7.2miles) and, compared with the women, the mens turnout was rather poor.
